SSC Security Officer Saves Life
August 28, 2017 SSC security officer, Michael Sylvester, assigned to a site in Rhode Island, put his life saving training into action when he responded to a medical emergency involving a person showing signs of distress, signaling they were choking. Michael’s swift, decisive and unwavering actions in performing abdominal thrust undoubtedly saved their life. Michael acted bravely and responsibly in accordance with his training and was commended by SSC President, Michael Burbage, for his outstanding effort and exemplary actions.
Security Guard Kyle Stridsberg Recognized
Kyle Stridsberg, a security guard on the Vermont campus, was recognized this week with a quarterly award. He was presented with a certificate of recognition and $200 from Jeff Mann, vice president of SSC, far left in the photo. SSC is the vendor who provides security services in Vermont. Also in the photo are Christina Baker, a supervisor of the SSC team at National Life, and Charlie Cole, head of security.
