This website is designed to share information with the subjects or potential subjects of a background check report requested through Security Services of CT, Inc. (SSC, Inc.). SSC, Inc., which is considered a "consumer reporting agency" under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, is a company which assembles background check reports and provides them to our authorized clients (typically an employer).

Usually a background check is requested on a person when they apply for a new job, apartment or have been transferred to a different position or job site within a company. Before, during and after the screening process has taken place, the subject or "consumer" has certain rights under the law. Additional information regarding the process and party responsibilities are found below.
