IMPACT:
Employers and background screening agencies must update and utilize the revised forms by September 21, 2018.These documents are required for distribution at certain times under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. A failure to provide the correct notification can lead to significant exposure, including class action litigation. For any clients utilizing Swift Hire or Swift Hire Mobile, SSC will update the electronic disclosure process on your behalf for tomorrow’s effective date. Keep in mind any other type of distribution must be updated (including but not limited to pre/adverse action notices and paper-based distribution).
