Lori and Dave Nidzgorski own Records Retrieval Service in Genoa Township. Their job is to pull criminal records, most of which are used for pre-employment background checks. A 2019 decision by the Michigan Supreme Court might make  that job more challenging. Starting Jan. 1, 2022, personal information such as date of birth and driver's license numbers will not be visible to the public on online court records after revisions to Michigan court rules. The revisions were adopted in May 2019 with an original rollout date of July 1, 2020.
