Ann Arbor to decide whether it could forgo criminal background checks for some jobs

ANN ARBOR, MI – Ann Arbor will review its job types and decide whether it could forgo criminal background checks during some hiring processes.
The Ann Arbor City Council unanimously passed a resolution last week requiring the city to undergo the review and make determinations based on positions and responsibilities. The hope is it will lead to more equal opportunity for people who have past convictions.
